In the year 2013-14 our income from Gifts, Legacies and Donations has been £52,000.
The majority of our donations are small, but they do add up! For example, people are requesting donations to Plymouth Mind in place of flowers at funerals – each £10 gift in memory of the loved one or friend helps to support one person take part in our Recovery College activities for a month.
Our Shopping List
£150 could help set up a support group for helping those regain their confidence and improve their self-esteem
£1,000 could pay for a Level 3 accredited training programme for front-line workers and mental health service users as a progression outcome from the Recovery College foundation and help to build capacity in community mental health work.
£1,000 could pay for us to have a “Recovery Champion” to train and recruit more Recovery College practitioners as part of our capacity building programme to help ensure no one faces a mental health problem alone
£2,000 will help us develop and expand our Recovery College curriculum to help even more people increase their levels of confidence and open the door to employment opportunities.
£5,000 will help us pay for new computers, video and editing equipment in our IT Suite for people to learn new skills and publish community led positive stories to challenge prejudice around mental health.
£25,000 could help 1000 people experiencing poor mental health to take part in different therapy sessions where they are encouraged to discuss their feelings as part of the recovery process.
£200,000 could pilot resilience training across our networks in the South West so that people are taught to stay well, not only caught when they fall.
