Our courses are all designed to support you to develop positive lifestyles and choices.

Courses are listed in date order, and some courses run more than once a term.

Developing Self-Esteem

This course is designed for individuals experiencing low levels of self-esteem who may not value themselves or their opinions. This course will support individuals to increase their own levels of self-esteem by encouraging thought and behaviour change

6 hour course over 3 sessions

Session 1: Tuesday 23 January 2-4pm

Session 2: Tuesday 30 January 2-4pm

Session 3: Tuesday 6 February 2-4pm

Cultivating Mindfulness

Mindfulness provides us with a way of coping with the stresses and strains of everyday living. It is not always possible to avoid stress but we can learn to cope with its negative effects. This course will teach participants how to use mindfulness techniques such as breathing, visualisation and meditation.

6 hour course over 4 sessions

Session 1: Tuesday 27 February 11-12.30pm

Session 2: Wednesday 28 February 11-12.30pm

Session 3: Tuesday 6 March 11-12.30pm

Session 4: Wednesday 7 March 11-12.30pm

Road to Recovery

This course is designed to enable people with mild-moderate depression and anxiety to develop their life skills. Participants will learn to identify the link between their thoughts, feelings and behaviours, as well as having the opportunity to learn and practice new strategies.

4 hour course over 2 sessions

Exploring Self-Care and Compassion

This course is designed to explore self-acceptance, self-compassion and increased feelings of self-worth. The group will work with a fictional character named ‘Sam’ to gently address their own thoughts and behaviours. It will not focus on personal experiences.

8 hour course over 2 sessions

Session 1: Monday 5 March 11-3pm

Session 2: Monday 12 March 11-3pm




Mindfulness for Stress and Anxiety

This course will introduce mindfulness meditations and exercises to help sooth stress and anxiety, understand common triggers, and live more fully in the moment. The course is based on the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction model (MBSR) developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn.

4.5 hour course over 3 sessions

Session 1: Tuesday 6 March 12.30-1pm

Session 2: Tuesday 13 March 12.30-1pm

Session 3: Tuesday 20 March 12.30-1pm

Understanding Your Anger

This course is designed for people who recognise that their anger is having a negative impact on their own lives, or those around them. It will provide an opportunity for participants to begin to understand their own feelings and triggers.

8 hours course over 2 sessions

Session 1: Thursday 8 March 11-3pm

Session 2: Thursday 15 March 11-3pm
